Joyful Beginnings Preschool

Mission
Responding to Christ's call to mission, First Presbyterian Church in Allen pledges itself to a ministry of child development, embracing basic Christian values, by means of an on-site preschool. The church recognizes the critical importance of early childhood experiences and education as a foundation for every child's intellectual, spiritual, emotional, physical and social growth.

Classes will meet from 9:00am - 1:00 pm. They will be structured to include a balance of language building activities, gross and fine motor skill development, play activities, creative artwork, music, exercise, story time, and learning centers. Their focus will be developmentally appropriate and nurture each child's self esteem.

Further, First Presbyterian Church and Joyful Beginnings affirm their commitment to diversity and inclusiveness by providing a quality preschool program that serves and strives to reflect the economic, racial and religious diversity in the community.

Through this commitment, First Presbyterian Church and Joyful Beginnings hopes to equip each child to appreciate the gifts of God throughout his or her life, thereby enabling each child to express this joy in a life of loving, tolerance and learning.

Enrollment

Enrollment is open to any child, provided the program can meet the needs of the child. It shall be granted without discrimination in regard to sex, race, color, creed, or political belief. In order to enroll in the program, a child for the 2-year old class must be at least 2-years old by September 1. A child enrolling in the 3-year old transition class must be 3-years old by October 31. A child enrolling in the 3-year old program must have reached their third birthday by September 1. A child enrolling in the 4-year old program must have reached their fourth birthday by September 1. Diapers for 2 year olds will be changed and 3 year olds should be potty trained. 4-year olds MUST be potty-trained and wearing regular underwear by the first day of school. Our staff will be willing to work with all three year olds who are working on toileting for a short period of time.

Four-Year-Old Class- 3 days a week

The teacher-student ratio is 1:12. These classes will operate three days per week: Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Tuition is $240.00 per month. There is a $195.00, non-refundable enrollment fee per child, payable at registration. There is no family discount on the enrollment fee

***NEW*** Three-Year-Old Transition Class - 3 days a week
The teacher-student ratio is 1:10. These classes will operate three days per week: Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Tuition is $240.00 per month. There is a $195.00, non-refundable enrollment fee per child, payable at registration. There is no family discount on the enrollment fee.

Three- Year- Old Class

Two-Year- Old Class
The teacher-student ratio is 1:6. This class will operate two days per week: Tuesday and Thursday. Tuition is $160.00 per month. There is a $150.00 non-refundable enrollment fee per child, payable at registration. There is no family discount on the enrollment fee.

Tuition & Fees
Tuition is due on the first of the month. After the 10th, a late fee of 10% will be imposed. Please make checks payable to Joyful Beginnings. There is a $10.00 discount on tuition when 2 children are enrolled from the same family.
